Let it Burn
Trent woke up again with his hair sticking to his forehead and the weight of the Queensland humanity making it hard to breathe again. Looking around for his shoes he notices his PC and can't wait to get home and play red dead redemption 2. Trent slips his shoes on and heads to the fridge to get his ham and cheese sandwich. Trent starts walking out to the bus stop then he sees his bus drive off so he has to chase it till they get to a red light, and the bus driver lets him on.
Arriving at school, Trent goes to first period, where he has English and is receiving his assessment grade. Trent is expecting an A which he has received every time since he started school and is now in week 9 of term 4 in grade 6. Walking into the English classroom, Trent nervously waits for his grade. While he was waiting a kid throw a pencil at him and hit Trent in the arm. Mrs Tala starts handing out the grades and as Trent gets his she congratulates him on his A. Trent finally breathes a sigh of relief. Trent finishes first period. Walking to his next period he will be getting his math grade. Finally arriving at math class, he sits and waits for his grade and is also expecting an A. Mr White hands him his grade and just as he expected he gets an A.
He goes to lunch after finishing Math and is eating his sandwich and sitting by himself at a table. Then out of nowhere a soccer ball gets kicked at his and straight away blood drips from his nose. Trent runs to the first aid room holding a paper towel to his nose telling the teacher what happen. Then Trent's mum picks him up. On the way home Trent sees a McDonald's and asked his mum to get it. His mum says yes and they both get a big mac with chips and a coke. When they were driving home, they see there is a traffic block, and it takes them forever to get home, and they end up getting home around 5pm. Trent's bedtime is 9pm. Trent's mum decides Trent can stay home for the rest of the week, but Trent insist on going for his last week of primary.
Surprised at his actions, she smiles as he walks away.
Trent's last day of year 6 fly's by and he's now on holiday; his mum takes him out to celebrate as they get popcorn and lollies for a movie. When they get home, they settle in for bed, exited for what's ahead of them for the holiday. They do stuff for the holiday and all of a sudden, he is 1 day away from going to year 7. For the last day of the holiday, they go to a nice restaurant called 'The Grubbiest' in sand gate in Queensland.
Trent will be starting at Bracken Ridge High today for grade 7. Trent's mum Mary packed him leftover spaghetti from last night's dinner. Trent grabs his spaghetti and leaves his house and walks to the bus stop. When they get to school, they have to go to assembly to get their timetable. Once they got their timetable, they head to first period where he has math and that is where he meets Andrew and Doug.
Andrew and Doug are pretty bad kids, and Trent wants to fit in with them because he has never had friends. Trent Starts changing by faking his act so he can fit in and have friends at his new school. Trent Barrett, the kid that has never had friends, finally has friends but they aren't a good influence on him. Trent Barrett the white, scrawny, and short kid finally has friends after not having any all primary.
Trent starts smoking, wagging, and lighting fires with his new friends. On a Tuesday Trent, Doug, and Andrew were all at the park wagging school, playing with lighters when a big fire erupts and they don't know who lit it and they all flee straight away. A few days later they come to find out a fire where theirs lit killed a 6-year-old boy named Boyd. They all feel guilty.
Trent, Doug, and Andrew all go to a party and drink.Trent and Doug start fighting over who lit the fire that killed the boy not knowing it was Andrew. They keep fighting until Andrew comes forward and tell them it was him. When he did that, everyone just stopped and looked at him in disbelief. After all this happened Andrew gets told the fire he lit wasn't the one that killed the boy and that the one they lit was put out right after they fled and it was another nearby fire. Trent's mum decides to have a good talk to him telling him about how his grades have been dropping and his health is getting worse, but Trent says he wants to change but doesn't know how.
