Welcome to Dog Ears, a home for writing by the students I meet on school visits. For most of the writers published here, this is their first publication (and it is published, by an editor on the internet). It takes guts to show a writer your words, and I appreciate every single young person who takes the time to send their work to their teachers and get it to me.
Dog Ears is named for my late dogs, Archie and Daphne, and for the folded-down corners of a page you want to remember: make a virtual dog ear and remember these writers!
Have a read. Be generous. Every writer here is just getting started.
A note on names: Student names and some details have been changed to protect privacy. The words are all theirs.
